But where you can walk and drive there are lovely displays in flower beds and of course the Jacaranda trees.
It was spring in Pretoria when I visited in October last year and I showed you a garden centre, township gardening and the Jacarandas in previous posts and I wanted to take a bit of time to show you some of the lovely gardens of friends who I've been staying with. There are lemons, lilies, palms and aloe and exotic flowers that I'm unable to name and of course plenty of bougainvillaea.
Your friends have a lovely garden; I can't name any of the plants but I can appreciate how nice they are :) Having a lemon tree in the garden is a dream of mine.

DeleteI was given a small orange tree for my birthday and so far I have managed to keep it alive inside. It can go back outside when summer warms us again. Not that the oranges are edible though - boy are they bitter!
ReplyDeleteI'm almost at the end of gardening here, it was such an effort toast year and now I'm working I'm not sure i have the time for it
