Sunday Day 115 #onedailypositive #project366 4.30pm and 32c. Bob and I are making the most of our time outdoors during daylight hours before it gets too hot for us both and we switch to night walks. #dog #walk#summerindubai #pets #bob #daylight #heat #humidity #dubai #mydubai#myview #dubailife
Monday Day 116 #onedailypositive #project366 looks like #summer in #Dubai arrives tomorrow, with the temperatures rising into the mid 40s. I'm struggling to find a positive out of this other than the air conditioning works.
Tuesday Day 117 #onedailypositive #project366 been sick all week and today struggling with a migraine, with Peter away I haven't been eating properly and of course being physically sick hasn't helped. I cooked tonight and managed to keep my dinner down. On a positive though Bob enjoyed the left overs.
Wednesday Day 118 #onedailypositive #project366 Peter is back from a few days working in Saudi, prompted by a visit to @mulledred he whisked me out to the chippy for dinner. Amanda next time you see him please remind him of somewhere a bit more upmarket for him to take me to. Lol
Thursday Day 119 #onedailypositive #project366 pissed off does not do any justice in summing up how I feel at the moment, anyway, moving on quickly, new hair and nails this evening and Peter is home till Sunday.
Friday Day 120 #onedailypositive #project366 this used to irritate me, leaving the house or going to bed with a mess/washing up in the kitchen. But no more. There are no kids adding to the mess, searching for things, it is my mess, that I will clear up in my time and that time is not now, so there it stays, causing no one any harm. Same applies to the washing, ironing, cleaning. I'm not lazy or slovenly, I've just reached the conclusion there are more important things to worry about and more important things to do with my time.
Saturday Day 121 #onedailypositive #project366 food shopping and coffee stop @carrefouruae on the#AlWasl road with views of the @burjkhalifa #Dubai #dubailife #myview #MyDubai #desert#summerindubai
I need to get to that same point as you and not worry about clearing up every moment a mess is made - my husband has always been at that point though!! The heat sounds unbearable. Lovely dog x
ReplyDeleteit's much easier since the kids left home
DeleteI too need to get to the same point about letting go of the instant cleaning of messes. I think I may still be too much in the "kid stage" though, and if a mess gets left unchecked for too long it becomes so much huger so quickly.... one day....
ReplyDeletewith kids around the mess does it bigger and quicker, the teen was here over easter and it was as much as i could do not to scoop it all into a bin bag
DeleteSome messes in our house stay for weeks and others are cleared right away. All down to priorities. Looks like it's starting to get really hot now.
ReplyDeleteKitchen mess must be cleaned within 12 hours in my mind, but with the heat kicking in and insects we will have to clear up as we go
DeleteI feel like I'm forever cleaning and nothing actually gets clean so I'm trying not to worry about it so much now. I saw your tweets about the temperature right now and wow!!! How hot!!
ReplyDeletei clean the house about once a fortnight as there is usually only me in it and most of the rooms don't get used
DeleteThat's a lovely view from your coffee stop :) Tidying up is a never ending task isn't it, good to just leave it alone sometimes!
ReplyDeletewe can see the Burj Khalifa from the front door step, we joke that if you can't see it, there's trouble ahead
Deletei feel like this about the mess in my house all the ruddy time! i try to be relaxed about it but that only works for maybe a day! its always worse at the weekend when everyone is home all the time!
ReplyDeletewow those temperatures you are having now are so high! i guess you are more climatised now but that would be too hot for me i think.
yes we've climatised quicker to it this year, but i still don't like it and it's only going to get hotter
DeleteOh wow temperatures have already got that high?
ReplyDeleteIm with you on the theres more important things to worry about......my house is never spotless lol
it was hotter earlier last year
DeleteDon't get me started on mess! The only time the house seems to be tidy is while the kids are at school. Our house is clean but rarely tidy there are more important things in life. Sorry to read your pissed off at the moment and hope you pick up soon. Sending virtual hugs x
ReplyDeletethank you, virtual hugs are most welcomed
DeleteHubby is the ocd one in this house and I have to agree I would be messier if I was on my own. Bet you are glad he is home for a couple of days and I am glad you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI would have to become nocturnal as well if I lived in your heat
last year i wasn't working so being nocturnal wasn't that much of an issue
DeleteI do my job and i go home and that's it, the downside is i miss out on some of the socialising
ReplyDeleteThe heat would drive me insane, I absolutely hate the heat. The chips dinner made me smile, perhaps not exactly an haute cuisine, but we all crave familiar foods when we're not at home, don't we? When we lived in the States, I craved the Ambrosia rice pudding in tins, once we got back to the UK, I hardly ever buy it. But I do love good old fish and chips, we just had some last week on Brighton pier, yum.
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat good old fashioned British fish and chips
