... squeeze a tube of face cream so I've had to buy it in a pump. It actually works out cheaper.
... open the medication I need for my hiatus hernia caused by the training for the marathon, so I've bought sachets which I can only open with a pair of scissors. It does cost a lot more but I can't carry the large bottle with me anyway.
... I struggle to open the cover on the milk, the lid on new jars, use a tin opener, open these packets that say 'tear here' do a necklace up, put the back of an earring on, write for any length of time.
... but I can run a marathon. I just don't know how helpful that is around the home.
This week I discovered I also can't make a trifle.
My custard wouldn't set. I went ahead and made the dream topping and took it to work in a jug and drove with it to work and put it in the fridge and used it as an example of 'when things go wrong'
It was enjoyed by all, it was just a little runny.

I struggle to open bottles, especially those with child lock things on. That is good your face cream is easier in the pump and cheaper too. Those packets which say tear here never tear! lol Oops to the custard, it still looks good though.
ReplyDeleteI think it might not just be you Suzanne! I think lots of things are getting more fiddly to open and squeeze, I'm not sure why. I can't screw those attached bottle caps back onto the bottles properly.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your next trifle will turn out perfectly.
I can't do any of those things, but I also can't run a marathon, so you are one up on me :) Seriously though, things are so much more fiddlier these days. Or maybe not, remember those cartons that you'd have to cut a certain way to make a spout... did anyone cut them correctly?
ReplyDeleteI'm also beginning to struggle with those darn milk seals! UGH! Thanks for the fun read!
