Wine Tasting in the Hunter Valley

We arrived in Australia the 24th July and spent a week in Melbourne, then flew to Proserpine to spend a week in the Whitsundays for a week where we visited the Great Barrier Reef, then onto Sydney for a week, 2 days in the Hunter Valley, 3 nights in Nelson Bay followed by our last 3 nights on Bondi Beach. We fly home via 4 nights in Kuala Lumpur.

Our son organised the accommodation and this part of our trip to The Hunter Valley, about 90 minute drive outside of Sydney.

We spent 2 nights there and a day touring vineyards and wineries.

The wine and cheese tasting was around $5 a head and we sampled around 5-6 wines at each place. I was the designated driver, so I sniffed and sipped only and enjoyed my fair share of the cheese tasting, which also sold delicious fudge and chocolates, which we bought along with several bottles of wine.

I bought a kangaroo wearing a Santa hat for the Christmas tree. We buy something for the tree on each trip.
