Quite a few have asked me if this works. The answer is 'not really' whilst I do get a wave, it's sort of frizzy and drops out pretty quickly. I've tried it with mousse, hurl hold and fixing it with spray, it works better if I don't go as close to the roots, but it takes too long and I can't sleep with them in.
36 Sunday I'm aching like mad after yesterdays fridge/freezer move and several tip runs. Child 2 helped hubby take the sun umbrella stand down and store it in the shed ahead of building work starting later this month. Grandchild and I walked Bob and posted a letter to Aunty Louise in Australia. They thought we were actually going to see her and later in the day put their boots on and packed a bag to go to Australia. Grandchild is 3 years and 5 months old. We then went into Worcester to do some shopping and have a coffee, home to just chill, have dinner and they all left at 8pm, we flopped on the sofa and didn't move till bed time.
37 Monday I discovered the council are painting double yellow lines outside our house, placing a planning notice around the corner from where I live means I didn't get a chance to have a say and can't see the plans online as planning has gone through and that's that.
40 Thursday Call from the GP to get prescription for Vitamin D. My aches hurt so much and I'm having difficulty standing up. Need weekly blood checks to check calcium levels don't rise too high. Received a call from Haematologist also for another blood test next week to check on inflammation markers and ferritin levels.
41 Friday A quiet day in work. Home and walked Bob for an hour, then chips and wine with my friend, last one for 3 weeks as we've both got other commitments.
42 Saturday A lie in, feeling tired, bathed, dressed and walked Bob into town for a take out coffee in the grounds of Malvern priory. Peter collected us and we did a food shop. Home to blog and do some sewing.
This bus stop sign has gone up in the last 5ish years, but I've never seen a bus go up our road and there's no mention of a stop on the council website.
On the blog this week:
That is a shame that those hair things don't work well with you. It was worth a try though.
ReplyDeleteThe double yellow lines outside your house sounds like a good way to stop random people parking but a shame if you have visitors.
Yum! Your cakes look so good. x
I'll try the hair wraps again when I have time to fiddle around with them
DeleteSounds like typical council behaviour not informing people properly. Weird about the bus stop too.
ReplyDeleteThose cakes look tasty.
Can't get any response about the bus stop and where it goes
DeleteThose things in your hair look like they would be uncomfortable! The cakes look delicious!
ReplyDeleteI love baking
DeleteAww how cute that your grandchild thought they were going to Australia to see Aunty Louise. That’s very annoying that the planning notice about the double yellow lines was shown around the corner from you and you weren’t properly informed before it went through. Those cakes look delicious. How bizarre to have a bus stop but no buses using it. #project365
ReplyDeleteGrandchild was adamant we were going, so funny. Still no idea where the bus comes from or goes to or even when
DeleteWe are getting really frustrated by the parking where we live and have asked for yellow lines but the council has refused. I must admit, I would not be happy if they painted them directly in front of my house - have you got off road parking? Shame the hair curlers don't work
ReplyDeletewe have off road parking for two cars and the doubles are being put down to prevent people blocking the line of sight of the school carpark and the zebra crossing, but I feel they would be better if it was single with a time constraint
Deletedouble yellows will be a pain for those without driveways. Bob getting lots of walks, Maybe the bus stop is for a route in the future.....lol
ReplyDeleteaccording to the neighbour the bus stop has been there at least 5 years
DeleteHow frustrating about the yellow lines and strange about the bus stop! Your gluten free baking looks fab. I need to get in the kitchen more but just want to nap when I get home! #project365
ReplyDeleteI know that feeling about wanting to nap after a day in work
DeleteWhy have they decided to put yellow lines outside your house? Do you have a drive. That would really get on my nerves. I hope it doesn't impact you too much. The cakes look yummy #365
ReplyDeletewe do have a drive with parking for 2 cars, I'm just annoyed that we weren't consulted
