2024 Week 24 - One Daily Positive, Project 365 and A Selfie a Day.

June

162  Monday Absolutely shattered today, only 4 hours sleep. Work passed in a daze and it wasn't a good day. Home and spent the evening lazing around.

163  Tuesday Didn't go to work until 10am as I had an appointment with the podiatrist for my achilles tendinopathy. She explained the exercises to me fully and what the benefits were and added in some calf exercises and gave me inserts for my shoes. As soon as I put them in, I felt my whole body straighten and the pain ease in my hip and back. I'm convinced the two are related but for some reason the GP refuses to make any connection. I've got a really heavy cold. Peter met me after work for a coffee. Home to pack for a trip to Brighton for my uncles funeral, some blogging, TV, washing and ironing.

164  Wednesday A lie in, then car packed and off to collect mum before the long drive to Brighton. We booked in at the camp site, then drove on to my Aunt and cousins house to drop mum off before returning to camp site to set up for the night.

165  Thursday After breakfast, we packed up at 10.30am and set off for the crematorium for the funeral. It's been 6 weeks since my uncle died. It was lovely to catch up with the rest of the family. It's nice that we also get to see them outside of funerals also. We'll probably be back again with mum in the summer. Back to the camp site in the evening to set back up again.

166  Friday A day of chilling out and a walk into Brighton to explore the lanes, do some shopping, lunch out, pub stop and spend our children's inheritance on the 2p slots on the pier, before a stroll back along the beach to the van. I bought some running shoes as recommended by the podiatrist, already the inserts have been helping my achilles and my back.

167  Saturday Packed up and off to Seaford to collect mum, then took her to visit her sister. Drove home via a coffee stop, unpacked the van and watched TV for the evening.

168 Sunday Mum and I caught the train to the NEC to go to The Gardeners World Show. I won the tickets on Stephanies blog BosworthLife
