2024 Week 31 - One Daily Positive, Project 365 and A Selfie a Day.

July

211  Monday Was woken with a cup of tea by granddaughter at 7.30am (made and delivered with Peter0 she then sat and happily watched TV while we packed up for a few days away camping. Spent the day at Beecenhurst on the Gruffalo Trail, then Peter and I visited my mum for an hour before setting up camp for the night. Son, DIL and granddaughter joined us with a Chinese for dinner, they left granddaughter with us for the night camping.

212  Tuesday A leisurely morning, I finished my book while Peter entertained granddaughter, we set up a drive away awning and it had taken us an hour to assemble it was quick to drive away from. We marked the ground where we were to drive back up to later on. We returned a gas bottle that didn't fit our regulator, we'll need to buy a new gas cooker as we don't want to be cooking things like bacon in the van. Next stop was Gloucester for a visit to social services for child 1's care review, a coffee then dropped granddaughter at home before returning to the campsite for our last night.

213  Wednesday Collected DIL and granddaughter after packing up and drove to Bath for the day to take MIL to a routine hospital appointment, had lunch out, dropped everyone off then home. Got home late, unpacked the car and straight to bed. Looking forward to our holiday next week to relax.

August

214  Thursday Up early and off to Glastonbury with my friend Mel from work for the day. It was Lammas Day. I've a separate post coming about that. I got home around 5pm.

215  Friday I'm writing this entry 4 days later and I can't recall what we did during the day, the evening my friend and neighbour came round for the usual Friday night chips and wine.

216  Saturday Off into Worcester for the morning. Peter wanted his hair cut. I met Mel and we had coffee and wandered around town doing some last minute holiday shopping. Home to do some gardening and packing. Rest of the day spent watching the Olympics.

217 Sunday Popped out for coffee to meet Mel and another friend and her daughter. Peter joined us for a bit. I cleaned the house. Dusted and hoovered top to bottom. I do like to come home from holiday and have nothing to do when I get back other than unpack. Rest of the day spent watching the athletics.

  3. Sounds like it was a good week. Glad the awning worked out. I always wondered how people manage to drive back exactly right. Love a sculpture trail. There's oxen in Oxford at the mo but I need to go and see them before they finish

    1. The drive back was so simple, it was all about marking the centre of the wheels before we drove away to get the right distance from the awning for it to slip back into place
