I really haven't been at all well this week with severe stomach pains and a migraine. I've carried on as usual and been to work, why? who knows. I don't earn any brownie points for it, but I'm not sure what staying at home would achieve either. The medication has helped and I'm not ill 24/7, in fact I feel worse when I'm at rest, keeping myself occupied does help.
274 Monday My tutoring started today, but with changes to the student timetable it meant I was chasing students from the PE department, so it was more of an assessment and an introductory session. Home from work by 4pm. I had a headache which turned into a migraine and I was awake most of the night.

275 Tuesday A tricky day with safeguarding concerns and parent meetings. I had to rope in other staff members for support. I met Peter for coffee after work. We spent the evening in front of the telly.
276 Wednesday A really busy full day with students and tutoring. A lift home and straight out for coffee with a group of work mates, home at 7pm. Peter and I did our Esta for a trip to Las Vegas for Christmas, it took an hour. I forgot my covid and flu jab appointment.
277 Thursday Into town after work to post a Christmas parcel for my son and his girlfriend in Australia, last parcel only took 8 days, last day of posting is next Monday. I fitted in a coffee stop and read my book. Home to do some tidying up.
Migraine face.
278 Friday Finished the week in work chasing students from the PE department for tutoring and a fire drill in Unit 4. Home by 4pm, washing machine on and some cleaning preparing for my cousins visit tomorrow, she's stopping over from Sussex with her partner on their way to collect her mum who has been staying with my mum for a couple of weeks while they've been on holiday.
We had the front of the house and the eaves cladded and new guttering 2 years ago, but didn't get round to painting the upstairs, decorative, wooden struts.
279 Saturday Peter headed up the ladder to finish painting the wood under the windows and I went to the retail park for a coffee and a food shop. I tidied round and did the hoovering. Cousin and her partner arrived from Sussex mid afternoon. We went out in the evening for a meal, ahead of Peter's birthday tomorrow.
280 Sunday Peters birthday. Cousin and partner left mid morning and at lunch time we walked to the pub for a beer and a bar snack. Afternoon spent watching TV and blogging, Peter in the lounge watching the football and me in the back room with on my laptop.

What's made me happy this week:
Peter's birthday, Discovering I've kept last year's poinsettia alive, stealing photos from Son's Facebook (proud Mum alert) and coffee.
Sorry to hear you have been poorly, hope you are on the mend now. Well done to your OH to painting the house, I couldn't trust mine up a ladder
ReplyDeleteI didn't know he'd been up the ladder
