I've spent so long in South Africa that I'm so used to how coffee should taste, that I'm struggling to find one to my taste in the UK. Even the tea tastes strange.
i think it's because they use full fat milk here in the UK as the standard where as it's semi skimmed in South Africa and the water is having an effect on the taste of the tea
good luck with the coffee hunt. we are lucky in Oz that you can get good coffee just about everywhere. i read that it was to do with how it is made- ie we use espresso as the basis for all other coffees whereas in other countries they don't Not sure what they do use tho:)
Now there's a challenge for the coffee shops!
