We've just got back from half term in Northern Ireland after a week with child 4, his wife and our two grandsons. We camped on Lough Neagh in the van with the awning set up. it was chilly, but we had plenty of blankets and the van has heating and we shared the dry robe when we needed to visit the bathroom. Peter used the showers on site, I waited till we got to our son's house.
We baked cakes, went shopping, to the park, went out for an early birthday tea, visited the farm for halloween, had an early birthday party, read lots of stories, had bath time and lots and lots of cuddles.
This weekend we have the van to unpack, the awning to dry, I've a football match to watch up in Birmingham and Peter is off to collect our granddaughter for the night on Saturday as I'm taking her to West Midlands Safari Park for the day on Sunday.

How lovely to spend time with one of your children and grandchildren. Even though it sounds quite cold.
