Week 10 Project 365 Beach and Art

Not a good start to the week, near melt down at the municipality offices when the woman on the desk told me I needed a letter of permission from my husband to drive. What she should've asked for was a 'No Objection' letter from my sponsor. It's not because I'm a woman, it's because I don't work, have no individual income and therefore unable to support myself financially, therefore I require a sponsor and that just happens to be my husband.
BTW I can work in Dubai, if I chose to and actually I'm more employable with a 'No Objection' letter, because the employer doesn't have to pay my flights, housing, car allowance or medical aid.

Two boxes left to unpack in the garage, one full of the teenagers stuff, that he didn't want us to throw away while he's at boarding school and a box with some garden odds and ends in it.
The rusty red enameled pot has been around for as long as I can remember, my mum gave it to me at some point since I left home and it's travelled with me. The Rock 'n' Flowers 'Bops till the music stops' or in this case 'Bops till the batteries leak' which have probably been in there since I bought it in Hamley's in 1989. I was staying in Sloane Square with friends and we each bought one and took them to the pub in the evenings, they certainly drew attention and I think we made our money back fairly quickly with free drinks, which is a good job as they cost £25 each, which was a lot of money in the 'olden' days. My daily positive is think of the future and not hang onto to the past with anything other than happy memories.

What is part of me? and how on earth do I add light to this theme? Everything that I think of sounds cheesy. A photo of my husband, he is part of me and the light of my life...blurgh, those of you who know me, know I don't do sentimental crap....sorry husband dearest.
So I'm posting a picture of our 5 children, 3 are mine and 2 are hubbies, but they are all part of me and as for light I'm just going to ignore this prompt today. The photo was taken in 2002 and one and only holiday all together. My daily positve, I met a lovely group of expat ladies today for coffee, natter and lots of laughs.

I've had an amazing day. Got my UAE driving licence and headed off to an open arts festival in Dubai, via a walk round Dubai Marina and catching the water bus to get to the beach.
If you switch the position from which you look at the art you'll see the 3D images created. I finished off my morning with a picnic on the beach and a swim in the sea.

Not a good day today, I've been out everyday with these photo prompts, I'm sunburnt, tired and have aching legs, so I planned a pj day which didn't go to plan as I have itchy feet and need to be busy. Today hasn't been a good day, but I know why and how to manage the depression in future, it's been creepy up slowly over the past week and I ignored it which is the wrong thing to do.
Anyway my photo prompts for today being Geometric and the letter B could only be the Buildings on @thebeachdubai taken yesterday at #dubaicanvas

Had a better day today, went out for coffee and shopping with a group of expat ladies I met through my involvement with Project 365. I took many pictures today Out The Window, at the mall, at home and from the car, but nothing summed up the prompt Gorgeous. My mind kept going back to this photo taken shortly after we moved to Dubai but before we moved into our new home. We kept the cat in the empty house and the dog slept in his crate outside. We visited the house daily to spend time with the pets. They just about tolerated one another in South Africa but have become friends since their relocation to Dubai. I can't help but think that the dog is telling the cat all about what there is outside that window.

I love it when the two photo prompts come together. We went off to explore Dragon Mart today, a Chinese mall off Ras Al Khor, it is a massive place and you can buy anything and everything your heart desires here. In our case a dressing gown and drill bits. What better remedy after 4 hours of looking around than a nice Yum(my) cheese philly steak sandwich and a blueberry lemonade.
