It's a busy weekend as always, when isn't it with us?
Football again as usual, but this weekend it's at Barry Town. VIP tickets with my Great Nephew, Thing 1. Taking him to see where his great grandad played football in the 1960's.
Sunday is the Three Counties Show and our granddaughter is very excited to be seeing some of my students from school who will be there with farm produce and animals. Actually the students are just as excited to be seeing her again after the summer show.
`I've been sorting through my dad's things the past few weeks and can't help wondering why he saved so much stuff. My father was almost a hoarder. I found this piece of lace folded up inside a book of when he toured Malta with Barry Town in 1961. It's been washed now and is waiting to be ironed and will be used on my bedside table and enjoyed. I doubt it will last another 61 years, but it wasn't meant to be tucked away in a book.
