Week 9 - One Daily Positive and Project 366

Day 59 #onedailypositive #project366 it's been a few rough weeks playing catch up in my new job, I'm tired all the time, my head is ready to explode from all the paperwork I have to do and every time I think I've caught up I discover something else that desperately needs doing. I'm behind with all my personal stuff, letter writing and blogging, but I have a week off next week, so I've spent the evening making resources for the next two weeks, done some planning for when I'm away and finished off yet another pile of paperwork. I'm not sure I'll ever get my evenings back, but things are improving dramatically and I'm feeling a lot happier about things.

Day 60 #onedailypositive #project366 still bringing work home but the pile is getting smaller, almost completed 2 weeks planning to cover my absence next week and ready for my return the week after, reports left to type and then time to tackle the learning journeys.

Day 61 #onedailypositive #project366 I went shopping after work, nothing exciting other than a new dish drainer, cushion inserts and 2 new pillows. I then spent the rest of the evening contemplating the housework while sitting outside, drinking tea, preparing a lesson and waiting for Peter to come home. The housework can wait (again)

Day 62 #onedailypositive #project366 not an exciting photo to look at but the meaning is. Today I spent 2 and a half hours at the hairdressers, came home to discover Peter had hung the washing out, which I put away and hung another load out for @debs72_ bed when she visits on Friday for a week. I'm so bloody excited. My planning is done, my resources made and I've almost finished my learning journeys. Up, up and away.

Day 63 #onedailypositive #project366 room ready for @debs72_ visit, I'm so looking forward to a week off work, the migraines have returned and the neck pain. I really need to find the right balance.

Day 64 #onedailypositive #project366 my mate Debbie @debs72_ sat on this sofa tonight in our home in Dubai, where she is staying for a week. The last time she sat on this very sofa was December 2010 when it was in our house in Malvern, UK. The last 5 years just melted away while we put the world to rights with a couple of glasses of wine, just like the old days. The only difference is she's now 3000 miles from home instead of 3 doors down the road.

Day 65 #onedailypositive #project366 I've seen these fountains a hundred times, visited all the sites that Dubai has to offer, but nothing beats seeing and doing it all with friends, especially one whose first ever trip abroad is to visit us in our home in Dubai and to see her excitement at what, for me, is now just daily life @debs72_

  1. That's so lovely that it's your friend's first trip abroad and you get to spend a week enjoying the sights with her. Sorry to hear you've been struggling with migraines and the workload. It's good to hear you're starting to get on top of the work.
