Viewed from the Malvern Hills the old QinetiQ site, cleared for the development of 310 homes.
Construction was stopped in October 2020 after a breach of a number of planning conditions covering a range of technical and environmental matters.
As and when constructions resumes I have found 3 view points where my view for photographing the development which shouldn't be interrupted by other developments. From the top of the Malvern Hills as long as it's a clear day, the main entrance from the road and the end of a public footpath, where I lifted my phone up over the wooden fence for the photo below.
All 3 photos taken from the same direction.
I suspect it'll be quite some time before I am able to update this photography project while the dispute is ongoing and suspect it will take a lot longer than than they do in Dubai to finish and have clear 'before and after' photos.
There's quite a bit of activity going on over the past 4 months. I suspect my chosen points will be obscured soon, so I've choosen a new point, looking back up to the Malvern Hills and I'll get up on the hills soon to take another photo looking back down.

You certainly found the perfect places to record the construction.
ReplyDeleteI do hope so
DeleteIt'll be a very interesting record to keep, all the more so with the planning background issues. That said, it'll be very different from your Dubai images!
ReplyDeleteI imagine it'll take much longer before I see any changes, if any
DeleteSo amazing to see a new city rise before your eyes.
ReplyDeletewill be interesting to see how quickly a UK housing estate can develop
DeleteIt looks a pretty big development. Our developments aren't on the scale of Dubai's
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up to #MySundayPhoto
this is small scale compared to the UAE and I know it'll take much longer to complete
DeleteOh wow! That does look like a big construction site. x
ReplyDelete310 houses, doesn't feel that big to me lol
DeleteI recognise this view from our walks in the Malverns. It will definitely take a lot longer than the projects in Dubai!
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing from the issues with the council, it'll be a long time
DeleteLook forward to seeing the progress and how long it actually takes to complete
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up to #MySundayPhoto
I think it'll be one of these builds that starts, stops and starts again
DeleteWhat a huge project! There's a couple of really small housing developments in our village and even they have taken forever.
ReplyDeleteI think it'll be one of these stop/start developments that races through and then grinds to a halt for periods of time
