One Daily Positive - Week 35

I'm ready to go back to Dubai, I probably should've gone back in August if I'm honest. I'm only back there for 2 weeks, then it's off to South Africa for 2 weeks, 36 hours in Dubai and back to the UK for our nieces wedding.

The oncologist got in touch, I'm due my blood test after the bone marrow biopsy and she wants to run some additional bloods having completed a review of my results. I alternate between thinking the worse and then realising if the worse were to happen, it would be caught early. Sometimes though I'd rather not know and I'm hoping my white blood cell counts will have dropped after being treated for an iron deficiency.

238 Sunday Did a food shop, coffee out and booked my flights to Dubai and South Africa, leaving next Sunday and back on October 4th, with Peter and after the next wedding, we're off to Rome and then I'm staying on in the UK until the end of October. It's getting colder in the mornings and evenings here now.

239 Monday Went to Cwmbran with mum, popped into to see a friend and filled in the tax return form. Found this fungi walking through the church yard.

240 Tuesday Was meeting a friend for coffee but her father was taken ill suddenly this morning, so went for coffee anyway and did some last minute shopping before I leave, scheduled blog posts and booked Mum's flight to Dubai for Christmas and hotel rooms for Peter and I and child 2 and 2a for our nieces wedding October 6th. Tax return completed and posted and after cooking dinner for mum and I, I went to the pub.

241 Wednesday Met up with Thing 1, 2 & 3 and my niece and nephew in law for lunch. Child 2 and 2a came down for the evening and we had fish and chips at my mums.

242 Thursday Off to Cirencester to see the teen and help clean the communal areas ahead of his move tomorrow so I can get my full deposit back.

243 Friday Visited the Admiral Nelson Gardens and Museum in the morning, followed by coffee in the afternoon with a friend and her twins in town. Had a problem with the internet so was up and down to my mums and helped out with the child care and visited a friend in the evening and invited myself to dinner, finished the day off in the pub.

244 Saturday Met twitter friend @lady_wl Rosie for coffee in Newport, packed and cleaned the flat ready for my return to Dubai in the morning.

  5. I don't envy you all the travelling, and sorry we haven't organised to meet up while you were not far in the UK. I just seem to be wallowing in my own problems, and don't feel very organised. Hope your white blood cells count has dropped. Loving the playground photo, it made me smile.

  6. Love that last photo .Lovely one. Medical tests do drag on don't they. My brother's having blood tests at the moment -well had the tests, but is now frantically trying to get a follow up appointment as his levels weren't looking good, but he's struggling to get possible dates out of them. So much for them saying he should have a quick appointment. Hope your new tests get somewhere

  7. That's going to be one well travelled case over the weeks ahead again. Hope the tests actually come up with some firm answers and that the iron tablets have helped. Fingers crossed #365
