Week 32 - Project 365

Sometimes the daily prompts reflect what I actually do during the day, other times it's a fact finding mission to actually link the two prompts together and on Monday I did just that with a photo of a drawing. Most of the time though the photos I publish have little to do with what is actually going on in my life. For example my 16 yo son is here and not one of the photo prompts will tell you that story.

Although I will do Project 365 next year, I'll probably only join in with the photo prompts if something really grabs my attention. I'm not here to set records for longevity and be posting every day for 5 years, there's no prize at the end.

So what has gone on in my week since we last talked?

Well I've bought my 4 year old niece her 'first day at school' christmas, birthday and easter presents, as after my trip to the UK in September I won't be back there again until next June. Can't disclose too much as her mum reads my blog, but her xmas gift is pink and sparkly.

Sunday. Hubby was back at work, I fluffed around making the newly hung curtains look absolutely fabulous, caught the bus to Park n Shop, had a coffee at Shakespeare and Co, then walked the 1km to Tesco, bought a new suitcase, got a taxi home. Out for dinner to Reem Al Bawadi.

Monday. Coffee Morning at Arabian Ranches with the expat ladies, bought new curtains for the lounge. We went to the beach for a picnic for dinner and a swim and the teen had a KFC on the way home.

Tuesday. Blogging all day, cleaning, hoovering, ironing, wow this running a linky is hard going. Pop over to #TimeTraveller and take a look. We had hot dogs for dinner, the teen was in bed all day, he's become nocturnal, but he does walk the dog in the evenings.

Wednesday. After a morning of tidying up my mess from hanging and adjusting the new curtains, I caught the bus and train to Ibn Buttuta, where I completed my UK shopping for birthday and Christmas presents. Hubby collected me from the train and we had roast beef with yorkshire puds for dinner.

Thursday. Coffee morning was cancelled so I spent the morning in the garden before the sun came round, experimenting with growing conditions for different seeds. Around midday I walked to Starbucks, did a bit of shopping, hubby collected me and we went to a colleagues house to collect his and hers bikes, that they no longer used/wanted.

Friday. Off into the desert early morning with the teen and Bob of course. I have caught a nasty cough and cold and feel a bit flu like, feeling better in the afternoon we headed off to Ikea, didn't buy anything or even have a row, but after the 'psychopath' incident a few months back, we were both on our best behaviour. Hubby cooked a lasagna for dinner, I did some sewing and we had an early night.

Saturday. In bed all morning with a nasty cough and cold, popped out to buy water and have a coffee. The afternoon was spent watching the start of the football season together.

Day 214 ‪#‎onedailypositive‬ ‪#‎ALittleMoment‬ ‪#‎fmsphotoaday‬ ‪#‎FootPrint‬ ‪#‎snaphappybritmums‬ ‪#‎project365‬ I had a fleeting glimpse of the Oryx as it ran off into the desert.

Day 217 #onedailypositive #SomethingPurple #fmsphotoaday #Stranger #snaphappybritmums #project365 #50DaysOfSummer I'm no stranger in the Hello Kitty store in Dubai

Day 218 #onedailypositive #WhatIWishFor #fmsphotoaday #Boat #snaphappybritmums #project365 #50DaysOfSummer Is to get out and about and enjoy life....oh and cakes and biscuits

Day 219 #onedailypositive #Quirky #fmsphotoaday #SomethingBlue #snaphappybritmums #project365 #50DaysOfSummer every villa in the street has a blue plaque with their house number. According to our rental agreement we are living in Villa 41 ***** St. The municipality have us as No 5 **a St. The GPS can't find us at either address, google earth has a different name for our St. And the taxi drivers are directed to the big Spinneys on Al Wasl Road and we guide them in from there.

Day 220 #onedailypositive #door #fmsphotoaday #money #snaphappybritmums #project365 #50DaysOfSummer Dubai is the only place in the world where you would buy and fit draft excluders to keep the heat out and the cold in, every time a door is opened, money just floats down the street in the form of wasted electricity.

  8. wow well done on being organised enough to have all those pressies done, hope she likes them all.
We use to live in a house that had 2 different addresses and use to lead to masses of confusion with delivery drivers.
