It's now officially hot here in Dubai, although the temps haven't hit above 40c yet, it won't be long before Bob doesn't want to go on an evening and night time walk, I don't blame him, I'm absolutely drenched with sweat by the time we get back.
I don't feel like I've achieved much this week, I'm waiting to hear if I've got a job to start in September and until that news comes through either away, I'm sort of stuck in limbo with my life on hold until I know which direction my planning is going to go.
127 Go. Sunday - Washing and cleaning the lounge, hall, sewing room and both bathrooms. I popped out mid way through and went to the Mall of the Emirates (MOE)
128 Colour. Monday - I cleaned the office, our bedroom, conservatory, dining room and kitchen, then made the bed in the spare room and cleaned that also, ready for child 5's visit at the end of the month. Peter was late home, we had dinner and an early night. I bought 3 pairs of converse boots/shoes in the sales for child 2 and 2a.
Apparently if I want this in 'pink it can be arranged
129 Bright. Tuesday - A morning at the beach, the sea temperature measured 29c. The cold water taps are currently running at 42c in the day and slightly cooler at night, so we're showering from the hot water tank now as the temperature is cooler. I spent the rest of the day on the laptop, blogging, sorting and replying to emails and wrote a couple of letters. Jelly's owners brought her round in the evening while they both travel with work. We went out for dinner, it was ladies night, I drank to much.
130 Sing. Wednesday - I took the car for a service and Peter dropped me MOE. Ramadan is coming (end of May) and the shops are brightly decorated with loads of special offers. The afternoon was spent similar to Tuesday. I started to feel quite unwell and very lethargic by the afternoon, aches and pains all over. Felt really hungry and dizzy around 9pm, persuaded Peter to fetch me a McDonalds, I regretted eating it by the time I got to bed at midnight.
131 Proud. Thursday - After taking the dogs for a walk, I showered and walked to our local shop, the heat finished me off for the rest of the day. The rest of my day was spent as Tuesday. Still not feeling like I have any energy, no sense of achievement, really need to shift my arse into gear.
132 Light. Friday - Up early and off to Bark Park with Bob and Jelly before it got too hot, Jelly was collected mid morning, we went to MOE, but left after coffee and clothes shopping in Debenhams, it was too busy. I spent the afternoon in bed, just feeling tired and lethargic.
133 Youth. Saturday - After collecting my car from the garage, Peter and I went to Dubai Festival Mall, we had breakfast, a walk round and home to watch TV for the rest of the day. i did some washing and hoovering while Peter cooked dinner.
Sadly two wonderful ladies back in South Africa died this week. Francesca, who ran an orphanage in Soshanguve and Sandra the lady behind Dignity Dreams, providing washable sanitary products to help keep young girls in school.

I am with you I would be wilting with the heat as well. I dont care if it officially hot or unofficially but 31 oC is not funny.
ReplyDeleteDoing the housework in that heat will be no fun either but I would need to catch up with it as well.
No pink I would prefer the car in a mid blue or a strawberry red.
I'm sure they could get the car for you in any colour you wanted, I'm grateful for the aircon, really don't want to move far from it
DeleteSounds like a tough week for you. It's crazy how hot the water comes out of the cold taps! So sorry to hear about the ladies in South Africa.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of the camels.
spending this week now waiting to hear about the job, no idea if i'll accept it, if offered.
DeleteOhh! I do like that car.
ReplyDeleteThe heat sounds awful...It would be too much for me.
I hope you are feeling better now. I am so sorry about the ladies in South Africa. x
i think it was a self imposed illness of the thought of summer
DeleteI'm not surprised you've been feeling rough with the change in temperature. Hopefully you're back on the mend now.
ReplyDeleteyeah I'm starting this week, with a bit more of a positive look on it and getting myself out the house
DeleteI have absolutely no idea how you get anything done in the heat over there and you say it will only get hotter!I hope you get some energy back soon. #365
ReplyDeleteI've only got 5 weeks till i visit the UK, so it doesn't seem that bad, knowing i'll escape the worse of it
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I'd cope well in the heat at all, not at my *cough* age. Absolutely love the camel photo :)
ReplyDeletei'm struggling and i suspect my age is slightly higher than yours....lol
DeleteSo funny you can get that car in pink. I wonder if someone has! And eek to those temperatures. It was 28 in Turkey and felt so hot. So sorry about the ladies in S Africa, that's really sad x
ReplyDeletei could probably get the car in hello kitty is i paid enough
DeleteI do fancy a bit of warmth over here right now but not sure I'd welcome those temperatures. Loving the sunflower - obviously! x
ReplyDeletewinter temps are perfect, if i could just find somewhere like this all year round id be more than happy
DeleteI quite like the car in green, but I'd hate it in pink - not my thing. I'd hate those temperatures too - bet you are counting down the days till you can visit the UK again.
ReplyDeleteyep can't wait to get back to the cooler weather of the uk
DeleteHope you're feeling better now, the heat must be draining. Sorry to hear about those you knew in South Africa. Give me a Ferrari any day of the week over a Lambo! #365
ReplyDeleteLamborghini all the way for me, was feeling better but had a sore throat by the end of the week
DeleteWe're having our first properly hot week here, it'll be in the 90's tomorrow, and the kids are complaining already :) A pink one, ha! Love the beach shot, can't wait to get back to the beach here, but the temperatures with you would put me off!
ReplyDeletethe beach is now out of order for me, a few people still using it, but i can't stand the heat, it's more the effort of getting to and from the beach that stop me going down there
DeleteSorry to hear of the two ladies passing away
ReplyDeleteGosh it is heating up isn't it? I remember the heat in October and my eldest found that hard to handle....doubt she would cope in Summer in Dubai!
Hmm think Bee would love a car in pink! lol
the weather now is pretty similar to october right now
Deleteit must be so hot to have hot water come out of your cold taps! ugh! not good. I am sos ors' to learn of your sad news from South Africa . Look at all that washing - ugh I Hate that my washing pile is never ending here - it can really get you down! I do like seeing a sun flower - it always makes me smile x
