One Daily Positive - Week 18

I've struggled this week. I just feel I'm stuck in a loop, the activities are the same, paint, clean, tidy, cook, wash up, jigsaw, read, blog etc. The only thing that really differs is what I eat, but then that's limited to either fresh or tinned fruit with yogurt for breakfast, crackers, cheese or salad for lunch and beef or chicken for dinner.

With the weather changing I've seen less of the neighbours, the usual door step natter didn't happen this Thursday as it was raining and we all went straight back indoors.

117 Sunday Finished painting the main bedroom in the morning, cleaned everything up, fixed the wardrobe doors and in the afternoon, relaid the carpet. I put a small joint of beef in the slow cooker that I'll eat over the next few days. I spent the evening cleaning up, glueing the vinyl back onto the wardrobe doors and cleaning vertical blinds. Went to bed with a headache.

118 Monday Woke at 2am with a migraine, took my meds and fell back to sleep 4-8am. Made the most of the last day weather wise as rain is forecast to walk to Waitrose to do a food shop, I have an online delivery from Morrisons tomorrow, but there were lots of things out of stock, beef and bananas to just name 2. I repotted tomato and basil seeds into larger pots I spent the evening in front of the TV. Fixed the remaining wardrobe doors with glue and clamps to re stick the vinyl.
My walk home from town.

119 Tuesday Woke early, head still sore.  I decided to take Bob for a walk around 11am, we ended up in the retail park and I bought some wool as I've been making pom poms to make a rug for our granddaughter. We got drenched, my head was still sore, so rest of day spent on the sofa.
It's hard work making pom poms when you're controlled by a cat.

120 Wednesday I dragged the mattress off the bed from the spare room, to the main room, where I'll now sleep for the next few nights until I've finished the rest of upstairs, will take a bit longer to do the last 3 rooms as I need to paint inside 3 fitted wardrobes and the last en suite. I'll start downstairs in a week or two. I finished the last few pom poms and I'll make the rug up next time I have a rainy day. My friend popped round to drop off some plants from her garden, we stood either end of the drive to chat. We've been friends for 16 years, though child 5's school. Did some jigsaw, blogging and just chilled out.
Attention seeker

121 Thursday Up most of the night with a migraine, it didn't really go away, I walked Bob at 8am to the shop to buy milk, followed by a day of nothing other than letter writing, watching TV, writing letters, jigsaw puzzle and 2 hours sleep after taking meds. Week 6 of #clapforkeyworkers and then bed.
I woke up to this, they'd come upstairs to remind me they needed feeding.

122 Friday Child 3's 28 birthday, which he celebrated after work with his girlfriend in Australia. I was awake early, back to bed with tea and iplayer, dressed, breakfast, jigsaw, letter writing, walked Bob to the post box. Went to be early thoroughly miserable.
Bought myself some flowers on Monday to cheer me up.

123 Saturday Pottered around, washed the dogs bed, did more of the jigsaw puzzle, which the cat then tried to destroy, had a long face time chat with Kath (twins mum) as opposed to (PC) Cath this confuses Peter when I tell him as they both live in the same town. Child 4 is away with work for 6 months so sent my birthday present to me, to ensure I received it before he left.

  4. I am totally blaming the change in weather for not feeling as positive as I usually do. I hope the sunshine comes back soon.
So sorry you haven't been feeling great with the headaches and migraine.
That is a shame about so many things being out of stock with Morrisons. It looks like a lovely walk home from town.

  7. Everyone seems to have had a bit of an off week, maybe it is a reaction to the weather? I'm sure your migraines must end up getting you down too. You're still doing great doing all the painting and mending around the house. Your walk back from the shops looks beautiful :)

    1. Usually the hot weather causes migraines, it must have something to do with pressure dropping and rising

  9. So sorry to hear you've been struggling this week, but I'm not surprised. It can't be easy to be alone and only have DIY to entertain you. It can't have been easy with the migraine either. Your walk home from the supermarket looks beautiful and I love the photo of Bob and Pushkins starting at you, asking to be fed.

  12. I hope your migraine hasn't returned, could it have been linked to the change in pressure and the arrival of the rain? The routine is becoming quite monotonous even though it was supposed to be reassuring #project366
