Week 19 Project 365

What can I say about this week? Apart from the fact it's good to be home, even if I am a little tired.
I finished my trip to the UK off in St Albans with Chrissie and family, dog walking, pub lunches, more pub time, a vintage clothes and general store, tea gardens, Apple store, charity shops etc with a 7 year old and that was only over 2 days. I flew back to Dubai on Tuesday and it was 41c when I landed early hours of wednesday morning. After unpacking and a reasonable sleep ( its so nice to be back in my own bed) I did very little other than read my book and have numerous luke warm showers. It's impossible to get cold water in Dubai unless it's out the fridge. Thursday was spent at a coffee morning, which all of a sudden became 4pm after wandering around the mall and then it was the weekend, Friday which was spent in Dubai Mall, trying to find somewhere to get a car key cut, a hair cut for hubby, bought Apple accessories and then assembling a shelving unit I bought from Ikea on Thursday. Saturday was a lazy day, we popped out to the local DIY store and garden centre and the afternoon under the aircon with a drink or several.

Day 129 #onedailypositive #Peaceful #fmsphotoaday #SummerDrink #snaphappybritmums #project365
It's always summer in #Dubai and we need to drink more than a summer in South Africa, but we tend to drink less alcohol here, it's not just the cost and there is a liquor store just over the road where we can buy from now we have a licence and it's not that alcohol is considered a no no, you can drink alcohol in licensed bars and restaurants, it's just that it's too hot, suffering more with headaches due to the heat and we rarely drink anyway unless we are socializing, but for this photo prompt we've both joined in because a glass of water is just too boring for now

  1. What a varied week! Dubai must feel so different after your crazy couple of weeks in the UK. It's always good to be back in your own bed!

  2. A week of contrasts. Good to catch up with family and friends, but I can understand being happy to be home.
