You can take the children to see Santa, in fact you can take your dog to see Santa, you can buy real trees, fake trees, pre decorated trees, stick on the wall trees.
This is our tree, we've had it for 6 years and it was inherited from my MIL, you'd never think it was in the high 20s here, in the day and it's the middle of winter.
The presents are piling up and there is money for the kids
Bob and Pushkins are waiting patiently for Christmas Day
This is the other tree, you can't see in the photo, as there is so much tinsel and too much sunlight, but the tree is purple.
Here are the trees I've seen so far this year in Dubai, not many and no real ones, but at £162 for an 8ft 'live' Christmas tree, I'll be sticking to the artificial ones. Don't think I've ever bought a 'real' tree.

There were dancers, gymnasts, jugglers and carols being sung also.

Wow, I'm so impressed with how Dubai does Christmas, I had no idea!ReplyDelete
neither did i until we moved hereDelete
Your living room is looking nice and Christmassy! Hope there aren't any doggy treats under the tree yet, looks like they might get sniffed out ;)ReplyDelete
doggy and cat treats on top of the fridgeDelete
Oh my goodness though, they certainly do do Christmas in Dubai but does it feel festive? We have temperatures around 14ºC and I am struggling to feel the Christmas spirit.
Coming from SA to Dubai, You do get used to hot wintersDelete
Beauty of a cosmopolitan city they celebrate everything. I was also shocked to see giant Christmas displays in Kuwait a few years agoReplyDelete
we even had carol singers coming door to doorDelete
Wow Dubai really does a grand Christmas!I love that your dog got to meet Santa. It would be easy for me to say that I couldn't imagine Christmas in such heat but it's more a feeling than anything else so I'm sure I could. I love how many trees you have managed to snap - you deserve an end-of-year-medal!ReplyDelete
Thanks for sharing lovely and Merry Christmas x
thank you and a merry christmas to you all, also, we do get used to the heat, but it's more the sun that throws me when I try to take pics outdoors of the christmas treesDelete
I suppose they have to have some concession to christmas as there are residents from all around the world.ReplyDelete
They all look great.
some?????? christmas is in full swing, they play jingle bells in all the stores, wham, last christmas etc and we were wished a merry christmas today by the staff in the supermarketDelete
