One Daily Positive - Week 19

One thing I struggle to cope with is routine, or rather lack of. Living abroad makes me feel like my whole life is on hold. Every time I establish some kind of routine, changes occur, which change my routine.

One the past 2 weeks Peter has been working away with work. I've been on my own Sunday - Thursday, eating and sleeping when I want and going out where and when I want.

It takes a few days for me to adapt to the changes and it's been really strange having him home every night this week and next week also.

It's also been a long wait for the results of my bone marrow biopsy. Fingers crossed for Sunday.

The teen left home for the 2nd time on Friday. He's been living in our UK flat since her left boarding school last July, ready to start his new life and job on Monday morning. Super excited for him.

Child 4 and 4a also confirmed the date of their wedding in September 2019.

126 Sunday Spent most of the day looking for my glasses, gave up, went for coffee, a swim and the nail bar and found my glasses under the cat. Peter joined me for the Bob walk in the evening and we had an early night.

127 Monday Peter woke up to discover Bob had taken a pee and a poop in the house, which required the glass cabinet to be emptied so we could move it to clean behind and underneath. Peter thankfully cleaned the main mess up before he left for work. As I needed help to move it, I met a friend first for coffee, before spending the afternoon emptying everything out. Everything cleaned and put back when Peter got home.

128 Tuesday Met up with a guy from twitter and his colleague from the UK for the first time. Showed them round Dubai Mall and took them on a trip to the Creek. May have got slightly lost on the metro, too busy talking and not enough paying attention.

129 Wednesday Spent the day at home after a swim and cleaned the house from top to bottom, felt so much better after neglecting the house for 2 weeks.

130 Thursday Took Bob to the dog park, washed him and his bedding. Collected twitter friend from hotel and drove round parts of Dubai I've never ventured into before and will probably never go again around Oud Metha. Finished the day on the beach for a paddle, before saying goodbye back at their hotel.

131 Friday Peter and I met Heidi and Wayne at the Marina for breakfast. We left the car there and got the train to Mall of the Emirates to take advantage of the pre Ramadan sales. Peter selected the dress and jacket as my Mother of the Groom outfit. I loved his choice. We selected the shoes together. Collected Peter's new glasses in the afternoon and the evening was spent in front of the TV.

132 Saturday After walking Bob we headed off to the local mall to buy a handbag to complete my outfit as Mother of the Groom. Rest of the day was spent in front of the TV.

  2. So glad you've got your mother of the groom outfit sorted. I particularly like the shoes! My husband is very good at choosing clothes for me too, I think it's a rare skill! The Bob poo and wee incident sounds like a bit of a nightmare.

  3. Wow, you have your wedding outfit sorted more than a year in advance! That's what I call super-organised. The bag matches the dress perfectly. The whole ensemble is elegant and stylish, and really suits you. Hope your bone marrow test results will bring you the answers.
Naughty Bob! He looks so guilty in that photo, bless him.

    ooopppsss at getting lost.
Yes when you have all day everyday to do nothing sometimes it is easier to slip into a rut.
Brave woman allowing Peter to pick your outfit but it looks great.
Hope the Teen settles quickly and enjoys his new job.
