Week 14 - One Daily Positive and Project 366

The teen is here, I'm still banned from taking and uploading photo's, but we reach a compromise. I can take pictures of him/us as long as I don't publish them, but as I continually explain to him, it works both ways.

This week I blogged about Losing my teeth #POCOLO
In My Sunday Photo I became Hello Kitty.
For Animal Tales I made a cat cave and a dog treat puzzle.
HDYGG was about enjoying the garden in the desert.
Friends relocated from South Africa to Germany this week, I posted My top 13 tips on your first few days as an expat.

Sunday Day 94 ‪#‎onedailypositive‬ ‪#‎project366‬ I've had enough now of ‪#‎expat‬ life I'm constantly waiting for the call that says 'you're off to xxxx next' although I'm working, I hate feeling so unsettled. Looking for a positive was hard today, but I had a lovely afternoon wandering around Dubai Mall with the ‪#‎teen‬ who is home for 2 weeks.

Monday Day 95 ‪#‎onedailypositive‬ ‪#‎project366‬ a new home card for my dear South African friends who have left South Africa to start their new lives in Germany. Hoping this is the first of many letters as I now have someone to share my expat stories of daily life with.

Tuesday Day 96 ‪#‎onedailypositive‬ ‪#‎project366‬ a busy day shopping so just chilling out this evening.

Wednesday Day 97 ‪#‎onedailypositive‬ ‪#‎project366‬ went into school today to set the class up for Sunday but the cleaners hadn't finished and as they move desks around I'll go back tomorrow. So I brought my students Learning Journeys up to date from report time (8th March) till end of term (24th March) but ended up bringing them home as I ran out of glue.

Thursday Day 98 ‪#‎onedailypositive‬ ‪#‎project366‬ my day started at 4.30am, my body and mind is obviously getting ready for 'back to school' on Sunday. Had planned an early night and read my book but it's 11pm and we're up early to walk Bob in the desert, so my book will have to wait for another day.

Friday Day 99 #onedailypositive #project366 had a lovely day with Peter and the #teen. First off to the desert with Bob, coffee at the cycle centre and a yummy breakfast at home. We all chilled out till 4pm and visited the Wafi Centre, bought Alex a new suit and had dinner. The Wafi centre is designed with an Egyptian theme, this is one of the many pyramids, a glass one.

Saturday Day 100 #onedailypositive #project366 I've had a lovely half term. Peter has been around a few days, the #teen is still here, the weather has been perfect and the house is clean and tidy, so an evening of chilling before the 5am alarms start in the morning.

  1. Love the photo of the Wafi centre - it's stunning. Glad you've had a good break with the teen - and glad you've reached a compromise on the photos!
Hope the first day back at school went well.

  2. Wow the glass pyramid is beautiful. Sorry to hear you have been feeling unsettled recently, but it is lovely that you have had your son with you. What a refreshing sight to see a hand written letter, unfortunately most of us rely on technology these days and forget how lovely a hand written letter is. Hope you have a good week x #project365

  3. Glad you've had a good break with your son. I can imagine that the expat life can feel unsettled - I don't think it would suit me.

  5. I didn't realise you were a teacher - I feel for you though, especially the early alarm. Letter writing is so relaxing and nice to share your experiences with others who understand x

  6. i really love your lamp shade well and lamp! such a lovely style and the colours are so striking. It must be lonely having your teen around even if taking photos for your blog is proving problematic! hand written letters are such a lovely thing to receive x

  7. Glad you have managed some chill time. I get where you are coming from with the next move having grown up in the forces you just never know how long you are staying for, sometimes with us as short as 12 weeks in a place.
Love the stamps on the letter and your writing is very neat
