Week 14 My Sunday Photo

I thought I'd share a picture of how this week ended for us in Dubai.

A sandstorm.

And yes it really was this orange, no editing.

I hope you don't mind but seeing as the sandstorm made such an impression on UK news, judging by the number of people who messaged me, I though I'd add a few more pictures to this blog post.

 during
after
very few cars with lights on
hoping the bus can see me
the view of a 14 lane highway, can just about see the other side
 operation 'remove the dust' begins

  1. Wow!!! That looks really bad! Sad people don't have their lights on though. Visibility must have been very poor

  2. That's a pretty impressive sand storm. Good luck clearing the dust! that's gonna be quite a job. By the way, that was quite a comment you left on my blog the other day. You really have had some heavy duty experiences as a parent haven't you??

  4. I heard about this as my dad has a friend out there on holiday this week and my cousin's hubby is also in Dubai with his company this weekend. Bet the cleanup operation is a pain in the bum! Happy Easter by the way :)

  5. How yellow the whole world becomes during the sand storm. Does it sting the skin? I cannot imagine waiting for the bus! Thanks for sharing I have never seen a photo comparing the same area during and after. Very cool.
