“A weed is but an unloved flower.”

I can't get enough of this UK weather.
I live in Dubai, you'd think I would've had enough of the sun by now, but for quite a large chunk of the year, it's too hot in Dubai to enjoy the sunshine.
As well as the sun, I can't get enough of the countryside, the greenery, flowers and even the weeds.

Everything is so GREEN! It's winter here now so everything is dead and brown. Can't wait for the first spring thunderstorm!
ReplyDeleteit won't be green for much longer, there's been no rain here since mid may
DeleteLovely photos! I think my favorite ones are the brick and stone with little bits a green finding a way to grow. -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures #pocolo
ReplyDeleteI'm loving how the weeds always mange to find their way through the bricks and the gaps
DeleteA feast of beautiful images. I have not come across that quote before and love it - story of my life lol! #BestBootForward
ReplyDeletemy mum always said a weed was just an unwanted plant
DeleteI love the quote ... Or it's a flower in the wrong place :)
ReplyDeleteit's only us that define weeds and flowers, in nature the weeds are the winners for sure
DeleteAgree with the quote on weeds, my dad always says that too. What always amazes me is how they manage to grow with the minimum of soil and still look so pretty too. We have self-seeded forget-me-nots in our garden and some is fine, but after a while a percentage fall into the weed category! Thanks for sharing with #PoCoLo
ReplyDeletedespite the lack of rain the weeds are doing exceptionally well
DeleteThere is nothing like an English summer when you are used to the heat of Dubai! I remember coming back to the U.K. one July when I’d been away in Australia for 6 months and I couldn’t believe how green and fresh everything was! I love the photo of the gravestone in the tree!
