Wild flowers and Weeds in Wales. My Summer in Monmouth.

“A weed is but an unloved flower.”
― Ella Wheeler Wilcox

I can't get enough of this UK weather.

I live in Dubai, you'd think I would've had enough of the sun by now, but for quite a large chunk of the year, it's too hot in Dubai to enjoy the sunshine.

As well as the sun, I can't get enough of the countryside, the greenery, flowers and even the weeds.

Did you know that Monmouth has a castle? The birth place of Henry V

  1. Everything is so GREEN! It's winter here now so everything is dead and brown. Can't wait for the first spring thunderstorm!

    1. it's only us that define weeds and flowers, in nature the weeds are the winners for sure

  5. Agree with the quote on weeds, my dad always says that too. What always amazes me is how they manage to grow with the minimum of soil and still look so pretty too. We have self-seeded forget-me-nots in our garden and some is fine, but after a while a percentage fall into the weed category! Thanks for sharing with #PoCoLo

  6. There is nothing like an English summer when you are used to the heat of Dubai! I remember coming back to the U.K. one July when I’d been away in Australia for 6 months and I couldn’t believe how green and fresh everything was! I love the photo of the gravestone in the tree!
