Something momentous happens tomorrow.

April 14th 2012 is a very special day for me.
It's the day I've been dreading for 13 years.
The planets may not be colliding and the sun may not suddenly burn out for the rest of you, but for me it may as well be the end of the world as I know it.

Tomorrow my youngest turns 13, a teenager, hormones, the inability to communicate, refusal to leave his bed or go near water.

OK so you've all been there, either as a teen yourself or with your own child, but tomorrow I will be the proud owner of 3 teenagers all boys.

Can you imagine it? Do you feel my pain?

My only saving grace is that this period only lasts for 16 days as my oldest turns 20 on May 1st and he's in the UK.

So it's not actually that bad I'll only have 2 teenagers under my roof for a further 3 year till middle son reaches his 20's...but isn't that bad enough on it's own?

*swigs back the gin, neat

  1. You have my sympathy....My youngest turns 13 in May so not too far behind....eldest is already out of the woods and turned 21 last October - she is in the UK too!

You can take solace in the fact that you will have 2 of your 3 out of teenagedom before I will....There is not quite 12 months between my boys....I get the pleasure of having 4 days in May when both my boys will be 13, before the elder one has his birthday and hops over to 14...

I may join you in a swig of that gin now.....lol

  2. I have all this to look forward to, but not for another 8 1/2 years. Hopefully there will be a cure by then! Polly x

    1. there wont be a cure for teenagers raging hormones, but hopefully they will have developed a memory loss pill for you, so you forget how crap the day has been.....lol
